In a very short period of time, the majority of sleep issues can be resolved but it can be very challenging to make these changes on your own.

Did you know that after only 72 hours of sleep disruption or deprivation the brain becomes incapable of putting an emotional event into its proper perspective? Therefore, even when you want to respond effectively to your baby or child when they are not sleeping, it becomes impossible to do so.

What support will you receive?

Sleep consultants recognise that each family has different approaches and ideas as to where and when they would like their children to sleep. There is no right or wrong way, so it is important not to be influenced by well-meaning family members, friend and neighbours. The strategies suggested should always respect your own personal values and preferences.

Julie uses methods which are gentle and emotionally supportive for baby and parents. She would rarely use controlled crying techniques as she believes babies and children need to feel safe and secure in their cot or bed in the knowledge if they need their parent then they would not be left alone.
